Overview
The authors apply guidelines for the prevention of deep venous thrombosis in neurosurgery. These guidelines are based on the recommendations of section of thrombosis and haemostasis, of the Hematology Society and the recommendations of the American and Canadian Society of Haematology.
Key words:
venous thrombosis – pulmonary embolism – prevention – neurosurgery
